His work with the Cocteau Twins, helping them to develop their ethereal and ambient sound, led Watts-Russell to recruit Fryer as his musical and producing partner for This Mortal Coil. His production work in the ethereal 4AD sound and the electronic Mute sound lead him into the industrial rock genre, working with Nine Inch Nails, Stabbing Westward and Gravity Kills. He also produced, engineered and mixed The Schools' Spellemannspris, nominated for the Norwegian Grammy. Fryer also mixed the US breakthrough album for Jesus Jones, Doubt along with countless other artists over the last 40 years and still working producing, writing and mixing.

In 2014 Fryer started collaborating with Louise Fraser in the band Muricidae, which released two EPs in 2015, "Tales From A silent Ocean" and "Tears Are Stronger Than Waves".

In 2016 Fryer launched a new music project named Black Needle Noise, collaborating with vocalists from many genres of popular alternative music, including Jarboe (Swans), Ledfoot, Elena Alice Fossi of Kirlian Camera, Betsy Martin of Caterwaul, Bill Leeb (Front Line Assembly, Delerium), Mimi Page, Jennie Vee, and Sivert Høyem.

Betty X is an American artist, singer, and songwriter from Seattle, WA.

Although she considers herself to be more of a conceptual artist and a performer, her sardonic wit and unapologetic temperament are mirrored in both her music and her powerful vocal performances. Her music has been described as everything from enigmatic and surreal to aggressive and hostile, with lyrics that are often cleverly disguised social commentary.

She started making music back in the early ’90s while attending Cornish College of the Arts, with the encouragement of avant-garde composer John Cage during his final years as an accompanist in the music department there. She then formed the provocative new wave/punk cabaret band Salon Betty. As her music steadily grew darker, heavier and more politically-charged, she eventually disbanded Salon Betty to focus on a solo career.

In the years that followed, she went on to become a prominent female name in underground performance art and genre-bending rock music, being able to effortlessly go from sultry blues-noir crooning to caustic and aggressive industrial-metal growls and screams. She has performed guest vocals on stage and in the studio for many iconic legends in the past, including Ministry, Surgical Meth Machine, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, and Pigface.

Recently, she's teamed up with legendary producer John Fryer, providing lead vocals for his new project Black Needle Noise.

<PIG> have had a very exciting and active history since his beginnings in the late 80s. Raymond Watts has been a visible part of the industrial music scene since the early 1980s. He was a founding member and lead singer with KMFDM through their most prolific and successful period from 1984-2003, Nine Inch Nails, Schaft, Schwein, and Einstürzende Neubauten, among others. He has written music for fashion and film for Chloe, Marios Schwab, Halston, The Row and the sound design for the exhibitPunk: Chaos to Couture at NYC’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. But the most ground-breaking and perhaps most rewarding was his collaboration with the late and immensely celebrated fashion iconAlexander McQueen who commissioned Watts and his old Psychic TV partner-in-crime John Gosling to embellish the serene instrumental track “Inside” (from <PIG>'s Genuine American Monster album). The fluid soundtrack to McQueen's masterpiece, Plato's Atlantis, the show was reprised after McQueen’s untimely death as the finale of Savage Beauty, the posthumous retrospective that broke all records at The Metropolitan Music of Art in New York and Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

Elena Alice Fossi was born in Miami / USA from Italian family. Left the States a few months later, as her parents had to get back to their home in Tuscany. As a teenager, she studied lyrical singing at the Pisa Music Academy, where she was personally trained in the beginning of her music career by Oscar-winner Ennio Morricone's most acclaimed vocalist ever, none other than Lady Susanna Rigacci, who took EAF under her wing. Still very young, she made the meeting of her life, the one with Angelo Bergamini, charismatic and well-known composer of eclectic and controversial combo Kirlian Camera, which is nowadays one of the giant bands in the electropop scene and held high esteem in Germany, where they often hit the official and alternative charts. From that moment on, Elena Alice became the singer-songwriter-producer of the Italy-based combo (and Spectra*paris + Stalingrad Valkyrie related projects). She gave up with promising high-fashion modeling after a few photoshootings for acclaimed stylists in Milan, in order to solely concentrate on music and programming. Being considered today one of the most brilliant musicians despite her “anti-star” fame, she hit the German charts again in 2018 with both Kirlian Camera's album "Hologram Moon" and single "Sky Collapse". Elena Alice supported the CSD/Gay Pride twice and was the first European electronic musician to ever perform West Africa, in 2016.

Inspired by nature and the wilder side of life; Andrea Kerr spent most of her childhood helping on a farm in Scotland, developing a taste for the macabre and respect for the duality of nature and creation. By 21, however, the music industry had lured her to London where she found a job in a studio and formed her band, Living With Eating Disorders, with Jared Hawkes (the then studio engineer).

At a young age, she began collecting crucifixes and became fascinated with symbolic imagery, though a turbulent relationship with Christianity would lead her towards a more pagan lifestyle. Unable to find jewellery with any spiritual meaning, she combined her passions for music, nature and witchcraft to make her own silver accessories and guitar picks under the name Lunaray.

Andrea has released music with Living With Eating Disorders and Colt, and contributed vocals to Ben Golomstock’s album ‘Stories from the moon’ and John Fryer's project ‘Black Needle Noise’.

Her's is a project that is forward thinking and thrilling, dynamic and over the top, constantly enamored with the promise of a darker and more potent tomorrow. MIMI PAGE

Mimi Page
www.facebook.com/mimipagemusic/

Mimi Page is a singer, songwriter, record producer, sound designer and composer born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her cinematic music and ethereal vocals have been featured in a multitude of well-known titles and platforms, including network television shows, video games, film scores, solo albums, and multi-genre artist collaborations. Mimi's music is a transformative and emotionally captivating experience. While her unique sound compliments visual media, it also inspires listeners to go inward and explore the expansiveness of their own imagination.

Mimi’s musical journey started at the age of 5 when she began composing instrumental piano pieces, which she then performed at her elementary school’s talent assemblies. At age 16, Mimi attended Hamilton High School’s music academy in Los Angeles. While her initial intention was to focus on piano composition, she found herself gravitating towards the school’s newly launched Electronic Music program. It was here that she learned how to record and produce her instrumental music. The program also introduced Mimi to a new instrument she didn’t know she had at her disposal – her own voice. After experimenting with reverb and delay, Mimi learned how to layer multiple vocal harmonies and create what has ultimately become her unique sound: a gentle choir, otherworldly and peaceful, and the perfect complement to the instrumental music she’d been creating for years.

Mimi’s solo albums and soundtracks have been in rotation on Internet and satellite radio stations around the world, and her presence as a vocalist and composer for film, TV, and video games have continued to grow. Mimi's songs have been featured on Travel Channel's "Ghost Adventures", Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance", NBC's "America's Got Talent", and Riot Games' "League of Legends". As a composer, she's provided original scores for documentary features "The Demon House" and "The Trade", and composed original soundtracks for the space adventure game series "Ancient Frontier", surrealist RPG "She Dreams Elsewhere", and psychological thriller "The Lighthouse". Mimi is also passionate about the healing effect music has on the mind and body. Her original sound-healing meditations can be found on both Youtube and the app Insight Timer.

As a vocalist, Mimi’s collaborated with Emmy Award-Winning composer Inon Zur on video games "Rift: Storm Legion", "Sword Coast Legends”, Ubisoft’s “Eagle Flight”, and Bethesda’s “Fallout 4: Far Harbor”. The Electronic Dance Music community has also embraced Mimi’s ethereal vocals and, to date, she has collaborated with over 30 artists in the genre, including Bassnectar, Delerium, Seven Lions, Illenium, Nox Vahn, and Marsh. One of Mimi’s most notable collaborations is the piano-driven anthem, “Butterfly”, co-written with Bassnectar. To date, the track has earned millions of digital streams, terrestrial and satellite radio play, and featured placements in television, film, and video games. Mimi has also joined Bassnectar on stage for live performances of their songs at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheater.

Mimi is partnered with virtual instrument developer Soundiron and has created her own ethereal vocal and ambient virtual instrument: "Mimi Page Light and Shadow". After years of utilizing her voice as an instrument within her own work, Mimi was inspired to create a virtual instrument that anyone could potentially work with. Her original concept of “Light and Shadow” began with her desire to express the creative range within her own art, and, on a larger scale, the emotional range we all possess as human beings. While her breathy, ethereal tone can be used to create serene and angelic sounds, with the right manipulation it can also become haunting, melancholy, and even scary. In addition to the thousands of vocal samples and phrases in the "Light and Shadow" library, Mimi’s created dozens of ambient pads and drones, all hand-crafted from her own voice. Utilizing time-stretching, manipulation, and heavy processing, each ambient drone is a compliment to the overall otherworldly aesthetic of the library. While retaining her unique sound and signature ethereal quality, the versatility of the library gives the user the ability to add depth and diversity to every genre of music, whether it be Electronic Music, Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Horror, New Age, Classical, Ambient, or Hip Hop. Whatever the project, "Light and Shadow’s" sounds have the potential to bring life, depth, and a bit of magic to the final product.

In addition to her professional career, Mimi’s extremely passionate about sharing her musical knowledge through education. Mimi was a featured mentor for Warren Huart’s award-winning online series, "Produce Like a Pro", and has worked with UCLA and ADIDAS Sound Labs as a mentor and artist development coach. She has lead workshops and held masterclasses at educational institutions across the country, and aims to inspire others to discover their authentic voices and use music as a tool for collaboration and self-expression. Mimi believes that music is our universal language and holds the profound ability to help heal and unify our world.
